Environment Agency Waste Carrier Registration

We are registered with the Environment Agency (EA) as a professional waste carrier, broker, and dealer. The registration number is printed on every waste transfer note, invoice, collection sheet, and the footer of this website — you can verify any operator on the EA public register in 30 seconds before you book.

This matters because in 2025 London boroughs along the Thames and inner-city wards started tracing fly-tipped loads found on river paths, behind large event venues, and in the back lanes of residential terraces back to the WTN number. An unlicensed driver who dumps your load leaves the property holder (landlord, homeowner, business) liable for the fine — not the driver. Book a licensed carrier and that liability sits with us, not with you.

On-Site Health & Safety

All crew members hold a site-specific health and safety induction, manual-handling training, and a DBS check for commercial and managed-property jobs. Crews arrive in branded uniform with ID and carry first-aid equipment, traffic cones, and barrier tape for pavement loads.

For properties with asbestos, lead-work, contamination, or any other notifiable risk, we operate a stop-work procedure: the crew halts immediately, the job is paused, and we bring in the correct HSE-licensed specialists before any further handling. We do not carry out asbestos removal ourselves — see the asbestos handover page.

  • All lifting uses two-person crews, stair climbers, and rated straps and blankets — never one-up lifting
  • Full risk assessment and method statement (RAMS) provided on request for commercial and construction-sector jobs
  • HSE guidance followed for manual handling, working at height, and lone-working procedures

Waste Traceability And Duty Of Care

Every load is covered by a written waste transfer note from the point it leaves the customer's property to the point it is weighed in at the disposal site. The note includes the waste classification, customer name and address, crew name and vehicle, the receiving site, and the EA registration numbers of both the carrier and the site.

All general waste is only delivered to Environment Agency permitted transfer stations and landfill sites. We do not tip at unregulated sites and we do not tip mixed waste into skips — this is how most unlicensed operators get caught.

Asbestos And Hazardous Waste Handling

Pre-1970 London terraces regularly contain asbestos in artex, soffits, pipe lagging, cellar lagging, old floor tiles and boiler-room insulation. We do not remove it ourselves and we do not ask our crews to do so. The correct process is sample, appoint an HSE-licensed asbestos contractor for removal, hand over, and then we attend immediately afterwards for the remainder of the non-hazardous clearance.

Paint tins, aerosols, fluorescent tubes, oil, petrol, chemical bottles, and medical waste are classified as hazardous or non-accepted — please flag them on the quote so we can advise whether a specialist handover is required.

Accidents, Incidents And Reporting

All on-site incidents — however small — are reported to the office the same day. A full RIDDOR-reportable incident triggers a director-led investigation and, where legally required, a report to the HSE and/or the Environment Agency within the statutory timescales. Customers affected are contacted personally within 24 hours with the findings and any follow-up actions.
